Treatment

Many studies have suggested that acupuncture may safely and effectively ease labor pain while also being capable of easing a variety of ailments in expectant mothers. However, it is important to consult your gynecologist first if you are thinking about having acupuncture.

Studies have suggested that acupuncture might help people with diabetes by improving blood sugar levels however diabetic patients should inform their Physician of their medical history. Those with skin lesions are advised to avoid acupuncture.

Before acupuncture, try to remain calm and relaxed. Acupuncture should also be avoided when you are on an empty stomach or under extreme fatigue. For ladies on your period, do check with the physician if acupuncture is suitable.

It is advisable to avoid direct cold or wind after acupuncture. Bathing/shower should be done 2-3
hours after acupuncture. Ensure sufficient rest 1-2 days after acupuncture.
